My my My my
Liberty Bell Tournament
by posted 04/16/2019

Dear Fellow Gaels,

This Saturday (April 20) we will host numerous clubs from around the North East at the Liam Hegarty Liberty Bell Tournament and help from all is greatly appreciated. The tournament was Liam's brainchild and as a club, we plan to honor him with an event worthy of his name.
We have multiple boys and girls teams coming to play 7aside in football, hurling, and camogie in all age groups from u8 to u14. As you can imagine this will be a huge undertaking with a total of 17 pitches needed and we will need all available club members to please keep a few dates and times in mind in order for us to be fully organized.
  • Monday 15th: Meeting 8:15 pm at Irish Immigration Center in Upper Darby for planning
  • Friday 19th: Set up begins at lunchtime through the evening for field, goals, nets, tents, and food set up
  • Saturday 20th: Games start at 9 am we will need many volunteers from around 7 am
The day will culminate in a senior match between our Delco Gaels adult team and Donegal Philadelphia ( this will be a nice opportunity for our youth to see our men's team in action) .
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas for our meeting and pass on to anyone who  may be willing to help
Aidan Corr,
Delaware County Gaels Chairman
